Miss Glenn County, races on the Orland Speedway and livestock judging highlighted the first day of the Glenn County Fair.  Karlene Shipplehoute, daughter of Doyle and Nora Shipplehoute, is the 2012 Miss Glenn County, taking the position that was held by Jimena Govea. The first and second alternates  were Alison Duckworth and Rebecca Pendergrass.

Scott Batchelder won 1st place in the Sr. FFA Showmanship followed by Cassidy Buttermore in second and Dominic Matteucci in 3rd.  The judging to a long time because of the fine performance by all the participants, but Batchelder remained consistent throughout the performance.

Be sure note to miss the “Eye of the Tiger Show” the tigers that were in the “Hangover.”  Jenny & Ashley Cooke will also be singing.  These young ladies are on the rise in country music and they put on a fun show.
