Orland’s Top Athletes Coaches and Supporters Inducted Into Hall of Fame
Orland Sports Hall of Fame inducted 10 new members at their annual dinner on April 21, 2012. The theme the came through the recipients was the culture at Orland High School and how it enabled each of them to excel, giving credit to their coaches and teammates. It is truly hard to recapture the emotional and tearful speeches that were given by all the recipients. Kevin Askeland one of the recipients and knowledgeable and recognized sports historians in the North State put it simply that Orland has a lot for such a small town.
