May 28, 12 Orland’s Veterans Remembered

Military Service Veterans were honored during a Memorial Day Ceremony at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Orland, California.  Among the speakers was Glenn County Sheriff Larry Jones, who recalls his father serving in the military.  Sheriff Jones father is buried nearby with the other veterans in the cemetery.  Every Memorial Day the Veterans place flags on every service members grave in remembrance.   At the conclusion, veterans from each branch of the service raised their services flag, with the  United States Flag being returned to full mast at 12:00, in accordance with Memorial Day tradition.
